Whiting-Turner Lectures Kick Off Thursday

The Spring 2012 Whiting-Turner Business and Entrepreneurial Lecture Series kicks off Thursday, March 8, with SAIC CTO Dr. Amy Alving, who will speak about "Converting Invention into Innovation – Experiences, Opportunities and Open Challenges." The lecture will be webcast.

On April 26, as part of the Clark School's 2012 Engineering Sustainability Workshop, alumnus and Clark School Board of Visitors member Stephen Zaminski (B.S. '86, mechanical engineering) will deliver a Whiting-Turner lecture on "Making Solar Power a Reality in California." Zaminski is founder and CEO of Solar Gen 2 LLC.

Both lectures will take place in the Kay Boardrooms (Rooms 1107-1111) in the Kim Engineering Building. Each starts at 5 p.m. and is preceded by a reception at 4:30 in the hallway outside.
